Dr. Blake Wu

Dr. Wu has committed to the relentless pursuit of human movement. He grew up as the son of two Chinese immigrants, instilling in him a hard work ethic and tenacity. He used these values to graduate from the University of Toronto, where he solidified his foundations in biomechanics, anatomy and physiology. He continued his education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, receiving his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2009. Dr. Wu always believed there was more in health care so he continued his education in dry needling, strength and conditioning, advanced rehabilitation and kinesiology. It has been his philosophy to continue to learn, grow and adapt within multiple health and fitness disciplines to create a strategy for preventing and managing athletic injuries.

Dr. Austin hogan

Dr. Hogan first discovered exercise at an early age and became fascinated with the transformative powers it had on the human body. He followed this initial fascination which led him to Texas A&M, where he got his B.S. in Applied Exercise Physiology. After graduation, he discovered CrossFit which only opened his eyes to more amazing methods of movement, which pressed him to continue his education at Parker University and attain his Doctorate in Chiropractic. That initial fascination with exercise and human movement continues to this day as he enjoys studying and incorporating new techniques into his treatment and training to prevent athletic injuries; as well as maximize athletic potential.

DR. kayla keck

Having grown up a gymnast, Dr. Keck realized that determination, dedication, and practice were important ingredients to becoming a successful athlete. She attended the University of Missouri where she completed her Bachelors of Health Sciences. From her experience as a youth gymnast and collegiate cheerleader, she knew that her passion was to help other athletes. This led her to attend Logan University where she received her Doctorate of Chiropractic. Dr. Keck’s enthusiasm, attention to detail, and dedication to understanding human movement has made her an invaluable team member at The Sports Pod.

Dr. Jordan Rasch

Growing up Dr. Jordan participated in a range of sports but found his passion in cheer leading early in High School. Since then he hasn’t looked back. His involvement ranges from collegiate cheer to a competitive coach and everything in between. Through his years in athletics Dr. Jordan realized he could be of service to the community in a greater sense. He enrolled at Logan University and received is Doctorate of Chiropractic, with the focus to help prevent injuries in a sport that was so under served. Dr. Jordan’s dedication and enthusiasm for athletic care has made him a perfect fit for our athletes here at The Sports Pod.

Dr. gabi trejo

Dr. Gabi grew up with a love for sports. Ever since she could remember she had a soccer ball by the foot or a softball in the hand. That passion for athletics pushed Dr. Gabi towards majoring in Kinesiology at Texas A&M where she received her B.S. in Applied Exercise Physiology. She knew that she couldn’t stop there. She wanted to help more athletes so she continued her education at Parker University where she received her Doctorate of Chiropractic while simultaneously studying for her Masters in Strength and Human Performance. Dr. Gabi’s depth in knowledge in multiple sports and back ground in exercise rehab has made her a perfect fit for our Sports Pod athletes.

Phong nguyen

For the past 20 years, Phong has had the privilege of teaching at the academy and in affiliated gyms. He taught special skills in the academy such as Defensive Tactics, LEDT, Patrol, and Firearms. In the affiliates, he’s been a Level 2 trainer with other certifications under CrossFit. Those other certifications are Kettlebell Instructor, Mobility, and Kids Trainer. He also hold a Level 1 USAW weightlifting certification. His primary focus will be Strength and Conditioning Coaching.

Mary Parker

Mary is the mother of 2 competitive dancers and has been in the dance community for years, She noticed that her dancers were always getting hurt and drove her to study the human body in depth with an eye on dance movement. Mary absolutely loves working with student athletes willing to push themselves to reach their highest potential. Seeing her athletes shine in their sport makes her more determined to learn about their specific muscle mechanics!
Mary is a member of The International Association of Dance Medicine and Science, Certified in Stretch and Conditioning and trained as a Functional Movement therapist.

Gabriela

(GG) Gonzalez

GG’s love for Massage Therapy began ten years ago when she was touring a school and saw the Massage Therapy students learning and working. From that moment on, she was intrigued with the field and decided she wanted to pursue massage therapy as a career. She’s been doing massage therapy ever since and is driven to grow and learn more about the field. Helping her athletes feel their best and aid in their recovery plays a major part in GG’s passion for Massage Therapy.

In her free time, GG loves long walks with her son and dog. In addition, she loves group fitness classes and cooking.

GG has 10+ years of hospitality experience and has worked for several highly ranked spa’s, including the Ritz-Carlton.

Angel Nwosu

Angel was born and raised in North Texas and was a cheerleader throughout her school career. Seeking a little adventure, Destinee decided to go out of state for her undergraduate degree where she ended up at Lee University. She recently moved back to the DFW area and has been enjoying this new season of life that brought her to The Sports Pod! She enjoys staying active with barre, Pilates, running and playing with her dogs!

Hannah fisher

Hannah Fisher is a Texas native currently residing in DFW and pursuing a professional career in the arts. She is a graduate of both Collin College and Sam Houston State University, where she earned her B.F.A. in Dance. Hannah has always had a passion for movement. Currently she teaches at The Block DFW and is a dancer for The Frisco Fighters Bombshells. She has previously been a part of Muscle Memory Dance Theatre as well as imPULSE dance project. Aside from dancing, she loves to stay active with a good Pilates or HIIT workout, and in her free time enjoys training at Live Arts Conservatory.

Callie turner

Callie began sharing her passion for yoga in 2016 when she received her 200 hour yoga teacher certification. She spent several years refining her teaching skills, but with extensive knowledge of the human body due to her Masters degree in Nursing, she knew there was more she could offer. Her interest in incorporating more functional movement and strength building aspects into the traditional yoga practice led her to obtain a Yoga Detour certification, followed by a 500 hour yoga teacher certification. Callie is a Functional Range Conditioning Movement Specialist and has spent the last few years refining her Mobility Flow which combines the best of yoga and FRC principles. Her classes will challenge you both physically and mentally, teaching you how to move in new and more efficient ways.
